We are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to support the production of high‑precision components for aerospace and advanced propulsion systems. Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you will operate and set CNC machines across milling, turning, and EDM processes, using a wide range of industry‑leading equipment and controls. This role suits someone who wants to work on challenging, high‑value, low‑volume parts rather than routine production. The work is technically engaging, often involving prototype development, R&D components, small batches, and engine‑critical parts.

You will be working with:

  • Controllers: FANUC, Siemens, Mazatrol
  • CAM Software: Autodesk Fusion 360

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC milling, turning, and EDM machines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation.
  • Produce parts to tight tolerances with consistent accuracy.
  • Support programming and toolpath optimisation in Fusion 360.
  • Select tools, fixtures, and machining strategies appropriate for each job.
  • Carry out first-off, in-process inspections.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and quality teams to solve machining challenges.
  • Contribute to process development as we scale engine production.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safety‑focused work environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in CNC machining (milling and/or turning).
  • Confident using FANUC, Siemens, or Mazatrol controls.
  • Ability to read complex engineering drawings and 3D models.
  • Experience working to tight tolerances (microns level advantageous).
  • Familiarity with Fusion 360 CAM or willingness to learn.
  • Experience with precision measuring tools; CMM training an advantage.

Hours and Environment

  • Thirty‑eight hours a week, Monday to Thursday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (with a 30‑minute lunch break).
  • Fridays, 7:30 am to 11:30 am.
  • Standard 21 days of annual leave plus statutory bank holidays.
