The role

We are looking for a driven, resourceful business development representative to help accelerate BNGAI’s growth. You will be the leading BD in the UK team, reporting to the Sales Director to build pipeline, open doors with decision-makers, and generate qualified introductory meetings across our target markets. This is a high-impact role suited to someone who thrives on outbound prospecting, is comfortable using automation and software tools to work at scale, and enjoys seeing the direct commercial results of their efforts.

How you will make an impact

  • Execute high-volume outbound prospecting across cold calls, email sequences, LinkedIn outreach, and other channels to engage target accounts in the development, infrastructure, ecology, and environmental consultancy sectors.
  • Research accounts, contacts, and industry developments to personalise messaging and identify the most relevant entry points into each organisation.
  • Leverage automation tools, AI‑assisted outreach platforms, and sales engagement software to maximise efficiency and scale prospecting efforts without sacrificing personalisation.
  • Qualify prospects by understanding their business priorities, environmental compliance obligations, and fit for BNGAI’s solutions before booking meetings for account executives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity, lead, and opportunity data in Salesforce to support pipeline reporting, follow‑up, and CRM hygiene.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Director and Account Executives on target account lists, campaign messaging, and follow‑up strategies.
  • Represent BNGAI at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events across the environmental, planning, and development sectors.
  • Track performance metrics, analyse results, and continuously refine your approach to improve conversion rates and outreach effectiveness.

What we are looking for

  • 1+ year of experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, or a similar outbound‑focused role, ideally in B2B SaaS, technology, or professional services.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect through phone, email, and LinkedIn with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort using CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred), sales engagement tools (e.g., Apollo, Outreach, and Salesloft), and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Experience with or strong enthusiasm for using automation, AI tools, and software to streamline and scale outbound workflows.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage high volumes of outreach and follow‑up activities.
  • A self‑starter mentality with resilience, coachability, and a genuine drive to succeed.
  • Ability to learn complex products quickly and translate technical value propositions into relevant, engaging conversations.

Tools you will use

  • Salesforce (CRM)
  • Apollo.io and sales engagement platforms
  • LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • AI‑assisted prospecting and email personalisation tools
  • Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Microsoft Teams and collaboration tools

What you will get

  • Competitive base salary plus performance‑based variable compensation.
  • Scope to shape and define the BD function within the BNGAI team, with clear pathways for career progression.
  • Direct exposure to enterprise sales cycles, senior decision‑makers, and complex deal structures.
  • A product that genuinely makes a difference, helping organisations meet their biodiversity and environmental obligations through technology.
  • Hybrid working arrangement with a central London office.
  • Generous pension contribution scheme.

Location and working pattern

This is a hybrid role based out of the AiDASH office in central London. Some travel across the UK will be required for client meetings, industry events, and conferences (typically up to 20%).
