About the Role: Responsible for overseeing the web development strategy and projects within the association. Manage a team of web developers and designers, ensuring that projects are delivered successfully and on time. Involved in various aspects of web development, including project planning, website design and development, technical expertise, and quality assurance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate project updates to stakeholders, and monitor website performance. The role will be reporting to the Digital Delivery Manager.

You will:

  • Be responsible for developing and implementing the overall web development strategy for the organization.
  • Manage a team of web developers, designers, and other professionals involved in web development projects.
  • Monitor and optimize web application performance, user experience, and conversion rates.
  • Manage the digital infrastructure, including web servers, databases, cloud platforms, and networking components.
  • Assist in day-to-day production/non-production issues, act as escalation point to resolve urgent and/or complex issues and manage expectations.
  • Contribute to training materials and/or instructions for end-users.
  • Understand how the organization’s applications interact with different systems and business processes to ensure they operate smoothly.
  • Provide regular verbal and written communications regarding status, risks, issues, as well as make recommendations for remediation or change.
  • Provide information proactively to the support partner(s) and business areas as well as the 3rd party vendors directly or indirectly affected by the network or data centre infrastructures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You have:

  • Extensive experience in advanced (e.g. Tier 2 or Tier 3) software support and development including Web.
  • Proficient in web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Familiarity with server-side languages like PHP, Python, or Ruby on Rails may also be necessary.
  • Understanding of front-end and back-end web development principles and best practices.
  • Proficient with responsive design, user experience (UX), and user interface (UI) design concepts.
  • A solid understanding of web standards, accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG), and best practices is crucial.
