Associate AI Consultant

Associate AI Consultant

Full-Time On-site

AiCore helps organisations change how work gets done using AI. We don’t sell software. We work alongside client teams, find where AI genuinely helps, build it with them, and make sure they can run it themselves.

The role

As an Associate AI Consultant, you’ll work directly with client teams to understand their work, identify where AI can improve it, and design practical AI-enabled workflows.

You’ll start with a training period alongside our AI experts, shaped around what you already know, then move onto client work with experienced consultants. As your capability grows, so does what you own.

This role is for someone at the start of their career: a recent graduate, or someone with up to two years’ experience who wants more responsibility and faster development than their current path offers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with employees and client teams to understand how their work actually gets done
  • Break ambiguous business problems into structured workflows and engineering problems
  • Identify where AI can remove, simplify, assist or automate work
  • Design and build AI-enabled workflows, automations and agents
  • Prototype, test and evaluate whether solutions work
  • Explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Help users operate and improve solutions themselves
  • Apply sound judgement on governance, security, limitations and human oversight
  • Measure impact on time, quality, capacity, experience and risk
  • Keep testing new models and tools, and bring what works into client delivery

What good looks like

  • Client teams can do AI-enabled work they couldn’t do before
  • Workflows are understood and used, not just delivered
  • Solutions are judged against clear success criteria, not demos
  • Clients know what’s been built, where its limits are and how to check its outputs
  • Improvements are measurable
  • Over time you need less support and own more complex problems

What we’re looking for

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Genuine interest in AI, with evidence you experiment with it
  • Evidence you like to build: university, projects, internships, hackathons, startups or your own work
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of people
  • High standards, ownership and integrity
  • Open to direct feedback, and honest when something you built doesn’t work

You don’t need to arrive as an AI expert. That’s what the training period is for.

Things that catch our eye (not requirements)

  • Something impressive you built without being asked
  • Open source contributions, published projects, hackathons, conferences, or teaching yourself something difficult
  • Competing at a high level: elite sport, Olympiads, music or dance, debating, chess
  • Strong academic record: scholarships, awards, top of cohort
  • A/A* in A-level Further Maths, or equivalent quantitative ability
  • Becoming genuinely excellent at something, AI-related or not

What we offer

  • 35-80k Base Salary + Monthly Bonus
  • Hands-on work with OpenAI, Anthropic and Microsoft platforms
  • Ongoing 1-1 coaching from experienced AI consultants
  • Progression based on capability, not tenure
