Reporting to: COO and Co-Founder

The role spans marketing and client operations, but we don’t expect one person to be equally experienced in every area. You may bring a stronger marketing background and take the lead on content, events, partnerships and enquiry generation. Or you may bring deeper operations experience and focus on improving client coordination, automating processes and strengthening our financial operations. We’ll tailor the role around the strengths, experience and interests of the successful candidate, so we don’t expect you to lead in every area. You’ll take meaningful ownership of the area where you can add most value, while also being comfortable contributing across the wider business when needed.

Whichever area you lead, you’ll also need to be comfortable contributing across the wider business. We’re a small and growing team, so this won’t be a narrowly defined role: you’ll help where needed, spot opportunities to improve how we work and bring energy and momentum to the company. Throughout you’ll work closely with the founders, with clear strategic direction and support, while also having the autonomy to shape and build your area over time.

What you’ll do

The precise balance will depend on your experience and strengths, but the role will cover two core areas.

  • Marketing and growth: You’ll turn AIConfident’s founders’ expertise and ideas into consistent marketing activity that increases our visibility and generates new enquiries. You’ll manage our marketing calendar and coordinate activity across LinkedIn, newsletters, the website, case studies, events and partnerships. This will include drafting and repurposing content, working with the founders to develop ideas and delivering the marketing plan. You’ll also track what is working and we want you to bring ideas, test different messages and formats, and help us build a more repeatable marketing approach over time.
  • Client operations: You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of our client delivery. You’ll own operational communications with clients and associates, coordinate sessions from initial booking through to follow-up, manage contracts and ensure everyone has the information and materials they need. You’ll maintain accurate information across our operations dashboard and lead the weekly client forward-look meeting so that responsibilities are clear and potential issues are identified early. Throughout you’ll be spotting ways we can improve systems as we scale. You’ll identify manual or repetitive tasks and improve or automate them using AI and other digital tools. This could include creating clearer workflows, connecting systems and ensuring information moves efficiently across the company.

Who you are

  • Critical: A growth mentality is critical for us at AIConfident - you’ll have a willingness to get stuck in, the energy to learn quickly, contribute new ideas and drive work forward. You’ll care about our mission and want to play an active part in growing the business.
  • Essential: You’ll have professional experience in marketing, communications, events, operations or a similar role. Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to keep several pieces of work moving without losing the detail. A strong communicator who can turn ideas into clear, engaging content and warm and professional with clients, partners and colleagues. Excellent judgement about when to act independently and when to ask for input. Confident using AI tools in your day-to-day work, such as improving content, automating routine processes and making work more efficient, while applying good judgement about quality, accuracy and responsible use. Comfortable working in a small, growing company where priorities evolve and everyone sometimes helps outside their core area. Aligned with our mission and values - you want your work to create positive change and will champion our values publicly.
  • Desirable: Experience in B2B marketing, ideally in a startup or a purpose-driven organisation. This could include managing marketing channels or marketing events. Experience coordinating client delivery, projects, workshops or a network of freelancers or associates. Experience improving or automating operational processes. Experience with invoicing, financial processes or bookkeeping. Experience working in a startup and operating in ambiguity/at pace.

We don’t expect you to have done every part of the role before. We care most about your attitude, judgement, ability to learn and willingness to get stuck in.
