What Is The Role
In Retail SME, our purpose is to be the trusted partner that backs our customers, enabling and empowering the Businesses in our Community to prosper.
The Kilkenny, Tipperary & Waterford Business team is a dynamic team that works together to drive business in the community. A vacancy exists for a Business Support on the team. The role holder will provide support to the team ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all tasks to assist in the delivery of team objectives to grow and manage the portfolio while achieving the agreed plans and metrics required under performance and risk.
Key Accountabilities
- Respond promptly to all customer queries within 24 hours, in line with AIB behaviours.
- Complete assigned administration and daily banking activities efficiently and accurately.
- Assist Business Advisors with new money applications, including attending meetings (when required), completing application components, and interacting with customers.
- Ensure that all Credit Excellence and Operational Excellence tasks as assigned are actioned within a timely manner and to the required standard.
- Foster open communication and work to maximise team effort and contribution.
- Partner with the BA to identify and capitalize on business portfolio opportunities, including product sales and new-to-bank opportunities.
- Work to ensure that the Local Market team provides a consistent quality service to all SME customers so that Service becomes a key differentiator between AIB and the competition which facilitates additional business opportunity and product penetration.
- Complete all required activities to ensure that the customer’s funds can be drawn down quickly and without delay while adhering to all approvals, PDRA processes and other required actions.
- Ensure that all fulfilment and post credit decision activities are completed in full for new money cases greater than a specified threshold.
- This role is part of the Fitness & Probity Regime and Individual Accountability Framework, which set out the specific requirements applicable.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum experience of 2 years in an SME related or similar role.
- Credit competence and experience.
- Broad sectoral understanding.
- Minimum requirement of APA Loans and APA Savings & Investments. QFA preferable.
- Understanding and knowledge of all relevant systems including NBP, NAPS, Ncino, Excel, Microsoft Dynamics.
- Proven ability to build and develop strong and collaborative relationships – both internally and externally.
