This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate to join AIB's Media Relations and External Communications Team. As Media Relations Manager, you will strongly contribute to the protection and enhancement of AIB's reputation, by leading high-quality engagement with national, regional and digital media, and supporting the bank's senior leaders in telling a clear, compelling, customer focused and trusted story.
Working at the heart of a fast-moving Corporate Affairs team, you will combine strong news judgement, excellent writing and calm issues management with the creativity and confidence to bring fresh thinking, a new perspective and an innovative approach to AIB's external communications.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead proactive media relations activity that supports AIB's strategy and strengthens its reputation.
- Act as a trusted adviser on media and reputational matters, including complex or sensitive issues.
- Manage and respond to media enquiries at pace, delivering clear, accurate and approved responses.
- Develop high-quality communications materials, including press releases, statements, Q.
- Customer First: Keeps customers at the centre of decisions, ensuring communications are clear, accessible and focused on what matters to them.
- Instils Trust: Builds confidence with colleagues, customers, media and other stakeholders through sound judgement, integrity and reliable delivery.
- Collaborates: Works effectively across teams and with external partners to deliver joined-up communications and shared outcomes.
