We're AIApply. We help millions of people get hired faster using AI. We've grown quickly on product and performance, and now we need a brand that matches the ambition — one that earns trust with consumers, gets us taken seriously by partners and press, and gives the team a clear visual and verbal system to build against.
We're hiring a Senior Brand Designer for a focused 3-month engagement to lead that work end-to-end.
What you'll do:
- Partner directly with the CEO and leadership to sharpen our positioning, who we're for, what we stand for, and what makes us different from the wave of AI tools chasing the same users.
- Translate that into a full brand identity, with logo design as the centerpiece.
- Develop type, color, motion principles, photography and illustration direction, voice and tone, and a complete set of brand guidelines the team can build against without you in the room.
- Work alongside engineering and product to ensure the system lives in the app, not just on a deck.
- Pressure-test the identity against real product surfaces, marketing site, ads, and social — leaving us with components and rules engineers can ship against.
What we're looking for:
- A senior independent designer with serious logo and identity chops; this is non-negotiable.
- Ideally, you've spent time at a well-regarded brand or design agency and are now freelancing or running your own thing.
- Consumer experience strongly preferred — bonus if you've worked on products where the brand had to do real persuasion work, not just decoration.
- Confidence in a room with founders, comfortable defending taste with reasoning, equally happy in Figma and in a strategy doc, and you ship.
To apply:
- Portfolio is required. Lead with consumer brand and identity work, and please include at least one project where you led the logo and guidelines end-to-end.
- Add a short note on a brand you think nailed positioning recently and why, and your rate.
