About the Role
As part of the Sales & Marketing division of AIA Corporate Solutions for the tied agency distribution channel, this candidate will be responsible for achieving renewal growth via pro‑active management of existing corporate accounts in partnership with the servicing Financial Service Consultant (FSC).
Responsibilities
- Ability to achieve the renewal growth targets set for the Agency Channel and other key performance indicators as prescribed by the company.
- To establish and maintain a strong business relationship with AIA Financial Services Consultants (FSCs) and their Agency Leaders to conserve and grow existing accounts for corporate insurance.
- Encourage agents to tap into their corporate clients to explore individual policies on top of their company insurance.
- Pro‑actively set appointments and personally meet with the Agency Leaders/FSCs during their monthly agency meetings.
- Provide timely and accurate renewal status information and renewal growth data for the purposes of management reporting and sales forecasting.
- Provide timely renewal terms or sales proposals for new lines of cover to FSCs for their existing accounts in accordance with the guidelines on business acceptance, risk management and underwriting profitability.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of renewal employee data, including placement documentation for billing, and liaising with the internal operation team to resolve servicing and operational matters.
- Follow up on outstanding policy premium collection promptly to ensure compliance with internal credit control.
- Ability to pitch and deliver corporate sales presentations jointly with FSCs, as well as to support and jointly conduct Employee Communication Sessions to the employees of existing corporate customers with the FSC.
- Conduct and participate in scheduled sales training and other professional development courses to enhance sales skills and meet the mandatory CPD hours requirement to ensure Fit & Proper.
- Undertake any other projects assigned from time to time such as products/services enhancements and market analysis.
- Attend corporate events, which may be scheduled outside normal office hours.
Job Requirements
- Tertiary degree, diploma or equivalent industry qualifications.
- Candidates with CMFAS M5, M9, HI, BCP, PGI and ComGI certification will have an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years working experience in sales and marketing in the Employee Benefits / Group Insurance.
- Strong knowledge of Life and Health insurance products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly organized and with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work confidently in challenging situations.
- Proactive, independent and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under deadlines and pressure.
- Able to anticipate potential problems and offer solutions.
- A great communicator via email, by phone and in person.
