About us

PhysicsX is a deep-tech company with roots in numerical physics and Formula One, dedicated to accelerating hardware innovation at the speed of software. We are building an AI-driven simulation software stack for engineering and manufacturing across advanced industries. By enabling high-fidelity, multi-physics simulation through AI inference across the entire engineering lifecycle, PhysicsX unlocks new levels of optimization and automation in design, manufacturing, and operations — empowering engineers to push the boundaries of possibility. Our customers include leading innovators in Aerospace & Defense, Materials, Energy, Semiconductors, and Automotive.

The Role

As a Senior Technical Programme Manager, you will own the operational heartbeat of the PhysicsX product organisation, ensuring that work moves clearly from strategic intent to shipped product, and that nothing falls between teams. You will work alongside a set of Product Managers, Group Engineering Leads, and Delivery engineering teams who will rely on you to keep the machine running, by owning:

  • Efficient product processes that govern how we plan and execute across the organisation
  • Ensuring compliance with team-level processes in the individual teams
  • Cross-team programmes and rituals that keep the organisation moving as one.

Your Impact

You will make a complex, multi-team product organisation significantly easier to navigate - for the teams inside it, and for the customers and stakeholders who depend on it. You will own the rhythm of our sprints across the Product organisation, ensuring the backlog and roadmap are accurate, informative and aligned with our strategy. You will also ensure the issue and feature signals that come in from across the business and from customers reach the right team, in the right shape, at the right time and are actioned appropriately.

Sprint Governance

  • Run the end-to-end logistics of our quarterly roadmap cycle and fortnightly sprints across teams, ensuring we operate as one joined-up function.
  • Maintain the cadence discipline - chasing Linear status updates from PMs before each session, ensuring approved decisions are reflected in Linear immediately after.
  • Actively manage the health of cross-functional initiatives across our five product teams; Maintain cross-team dependency visibility - identifying and managing work to ensure successful overall outcomes.
  • Ensure the inbound triage queue is moving and that the communication loop back is healthy.

Operational Efficiency

  • Keep Linear as the single source of truth - validate that ticket hygiene standards are being met (estimates, labels, project assignment, status accuracy) ahead of each planning cycle.
  • Identify where friction is slowing delivery of our platform and develop and introduce appropriate processes.
  • Identify and develop agentic automation opportunities to reduce process demand on the teams.
  • Maintain the operational documentation that keeps the product organisation oriented: ways of working, escalation paths, decision logs.
  • Track throughput and load metrics over time and use them to inform quarterly capacity planning discussions.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience in a delivery, programme, or technical operations role inside a product engineering organisation — you understand how software gets built and what causes it to slow down.
  • Demonstrated ability to hold a wide context across multiple teams and workstreams simultaneously without losing track of the details that matter.
  • Strong understanding of a modern SDLC, including CI/CD.
  • Comfortable operating in Linear, Notion, and Slack as your primary working environment.
  • A clear, direct communication style - able to hold the line on process discipline and make deviations visible, and simplify without losing accuracy.
  • Enough technical fluency to understand what a software engineering problem is describing and route it sensibly — you do not need to be an engineer, but you need to speak the language.
  • Experience running or supporting a governance or steering forum with senior stakeholders.
  • Low tolerance for unresolved ambiguity - you find it uncomfortable and your instinct is to close it down, not work around it.

Additional Considerations

This role is based in our London office, with an expectation of being in the office at least four days per week. Occasional travel to other PhysicsX locations may be required.
