About Us

Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world’s best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar. Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, allowing teams to focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes.

1,000+ customers across 50+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We’ve scaled to $100M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America, and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI, and Graceview.

Joining Legora means three things:

  • We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.
  • We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback.
  • We grow together: as a team and with our customers. Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts.

If you’re driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar, this is the place.

As a Staff Product Designer, you’ll be the first designer in our London office, taking on some of our most complex product challenges and setting a high bar for design quality across products and teams. You’ll partner closely with product and engineering to shape direction, bring clarity to ambiguous problems, and deliver best-in-class interaction and visual design. This is a highly hands-on role for a designer who can move between product strategy and craft, and whose work raises the quality of the team around them.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead design across multiple product areas, creating coherence across complex workflows and experiences.
  • Shape product strategy: frame the hardest problems, influence roadmaps, and turn ambiguity into bold, practical solutions.
  • Set and raise the bar for design craft, accessibility, and usability across Legora’s product.
  • Partner with product and engineering to make smart tradeoffs that protect the experience while shipping quickly.
  • Explore new product directions, from zero-to-one concepts to scaled launches.
  • Explore and implement new ways of working with AI to produce better design outcomes, faster.
  • Help make Legora a destination for exceptional design talent in London.

About you:

  • Extensive product design experience with a track record of shipping complex, high-impact products.
  • Exceptional craft in interaction and visual design, with the ability to connect the details to the bigger picture.
  • Comfortable owning complex, ambiguous problems and creating clarity across teams and product areas.
  • Skilled at moving seamlessly between hands-on design and product strategy.
  • Strong product judgment and communication skills; you influence direction and inspire confidence across product, engineering, and leadership.

What’s in it for you:

  • Career development opportunities in a rapidly evolving entrepreneurial environment.
  • Direct collaboration with senior leadership and the opportunity to impact company growth and strategy.
  • A collaborative, high-energy team where your ideas and contributions are valued and implemented.
  • Competitive salary complemented by a transparent and highly competitive options program.

How to prepare for a job interview at AI Startups UK

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If AI Startups UK uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
