Role Overview: As our Outreach Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and nurturing our community. You will lead in-house marketing efforts, collaborate with our external marketing agency, and manage a variety of initiatives that drive engagement and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing & Content Creation: Lead in-house marketing, collaborate closely with our marketing agency to ensure cohesive and effective strategies. Produce engaging weekly video content, social media posts, and bi-monthly blogs. Develop and manage a content calendar. Craft monthly newsletters and establish content pillars to reinforce our brand messaging.
- Discovery & Outreach: Identify potential founders and partners through strategic campaigns targeting industry influencers and universities. Engage with industry journalists to generate buzz and secure media coverage.
- Event Planning & Community Building: Organize and manage events, ensuring founders have access to valuable networking opportunities. Foster relationships with universities to attract top talent. Create and maintain a unique brand identity for Firepit. Organize meetups and manage the community database to drive engagement. Track and analyze campaign success to continually improve outreach efforts.
- Mentorship & Judging: Expand our mentor base by at least 35 new mentors each cohort. Manage the mentor onboarding process and enhance matchmaking. Secure 10 new judges per cohort, focusing on AI experts from leading corporations, academia, and successful AI entrepreneurs.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in marketing or communications or previous Outreach Manager experience - with a focus on the UK market.
- Strategic, creative thinker comfortable with promoting and debating ideas.
- Proficient in content marketing, social media, PR, experiential marketing, and brand activation.
