AI Connect are partnering with a global retail consumer brand to hire a Marketing Effectiveness & Investment Strategy Lead.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, and marketing effectiveness focused on driving investment decisions through insight, not running hands-on models. You’ll take ownership of the organisation’s overall marketing effectiveness framework, translating outputs from MMM and other analytics partners into clear, commercially driven recommendations for senior stakeholders.

You’ll be the strategic voice guiding where and how marketing budgets are deployed, helping shape annual and quarterly investment plans, align priorities with Finance and Marketing leadership, and ultimately ensure marketing spend delivers both short-term returns and long-term brand growth.

Role responsibilities / experience required:

  • Lead the development and evolution of the organisation’s marketing effectiveness framework.
  • Oversee MMM and other measurement programmes (including 3rd parties), ensuring outputs are actionable and integrated into business planning.
  • Build scenario models and diminishing returns curves to inform optimal spend allocation.
  • Lead the annual marketing investment planning process, determining optimal budget distribution across channels, campaigns, and markets.
  • Partner with Finance and marketing stakeholders to build commercial cases for major investment shifts.
  • Design and oversee structured experimentation to validate new channels, strategies, and media mixes.
  • Act as the conduit between Marketing, Finance, and Analytics functions.
  • Translate complex insights into actionable, strategic recommendations.
  • Influence investment decisions at C-suite level through data-led storytelling.
  • Strong background in marketing analytics, econometrics/MMM, or media ROI modelling.
  • Deep understanding of strategic budget allocation and scenario planning.
