We’re looking for a Senior Data Modeller to join a large-scale data transformation programme in a pensions & investment firm, helping build trusted data products that support analytics, reporting, data science and AI.
The Role
- Design and maintain enterprise and domain-based data models
- Analyse and integrate complex data sources
- Develop source-to-target mappings across batch, real-time and streaming data
- Support the evolution of an enterprise data model and data products
- Produce data modelling, mapping and design documentation
- Work closely with data engineers, architects, business stakeholders and third parties
- Present technical designs and recommendations to senior stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in data modelling, mapping and enterprise data architecture
- Knowledge of Kimball/Inmon, star schemas, fact/dimension modelling, OLAP, data lakes and ERDs
- Experience with modelling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin or Sparx EA
- Experience with Azure data services, particularly Azure Data Factory or Databricks
- Strong understanding of ETL, CDC, data integration and transformation
- Experience working in complex, agile and/or multi-vendor environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be advantageous but not a hard ask.
