We’re looking for a Senior Data Modeller to join a large-scale data transformation programme in a pensions & investment firm, helping build trusted data products that support analytics, reporting, data science and AI.

The Role

  • Design and maintain enterprise and domain-based data models
  • Analyse and integrate complex data sources
  • Develop source-to-target mappings across batch, real-time and streaming data
  • Support the evolution of an enterprise data model and data products
  • Produce data modelling, mapping and design documentation
  • Work closely with data engineers, architects, business stakeholders and third parties
  • Present technical designs and recommendations to senior stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong experience in data modelling, mapping and enterprise data architecture
  • Knowledge of Kimball/Inmon, star schemas, fact/dimension modelling, OLAP, data lakes and ERDs
  • Experience with modelling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin or Sparx EA
  • Experience with Azure data services, particularly Azure Data Factory or Databricks
  • Strong understanding of ETL, CDC, data integration and transformation
  • Experience working in complex, agile and/or multi-vendor environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be advantageous but not a hard ask.
