We’re hiring a Technical Script Writer to join our video team in Cambridge, MA. You’ll be writing scripts and voiceovers for our YouTube channel, specifically the technical videos our current team finds hardest to crack. Think: AI tool comparisons, automation workflows, testing every image generator on the market.

As we branch deeper into AI, there’s more than enough work, and we need someone who can translate complex concepts into clear, engaging scripts without dumbing them down. You’ll also be a self-starter who stays plugged into the market, pitches video ideas, and helps shape what we cover next.

  • Write scripts for technical YouTube videos, AI tools, automation demos, in-depth product tests.
  • Run your own tests and experiments when a script requires hands-on validation (e.g. “I tested 12 AI writing tools — here’s what actually works”).
  • Write and record voiceover for higher-lift technical videos that require explaining APIs, workflows, or emerging AI concepts.
  • Stay on top of the AI and marketing tool landscape, what’s launching, what’s overhyped, what our audience needs to know.
  • Pitch video ideas to the team based on market trends, audience questions, and gaps in our coverage.
  • Collaborate with video editors and producers to refine scripts based on visual storytelling needs.
  • Use AI assistants and tools to speed up research, build small demos, or clarify technical details.

Benefits:

  • Informal and thriving work atmosphere
  • Above-average perks and fringe benefits
  • First-class workplace (hardware, software, etc) in the modern office
  • Work from home allowance

Qualifications:

  • You have a good working knowledge of AI tools, how to use them to build small apps, streamline research, or pull together demos.
  • You’re a self-starter who doesn’t wait for assignments, you notice what’s happening in the market and come to the team with ideas.
  • You can explain technical concepts (APIs, automation, AI models) clearly without being an engineer yourself.
  • You’re comfortable running your own tests and demos to validate what you’re writing about (e.g. signing up for tools, running workflows, documenting results).
  • You can work autonomously and make judgment calls about tone, depth, and structure without constant check-ins.
  • You’ve written for video before, you understand pacing, hooks, and how a script needs to serve the edit.
  • Experience writing or producing content about SEO, marketing tools or SaaS products.
  • Familiarity with scripting or light coding (even just enough to understand what an API call does or how to automate a task).
  • A portfolio of technical explainer videos, tutorials, or demos you’ve scripted or produced.
