We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee BIM/Revit Technician to join our creative and friendly team based in our Shrewsbury office. This role would be perfect for someone who is interested in architecture or is looking for a career change.
Job Purpose
Under the direction and supervision of a mentor, you will work as part of a team, assisting in the completion of technical information for projects – particularly focused on the detailed space planning of rooms in a healthcare setting, through the creation of 3D models, technical drawings and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed models of individual rooms and illustrate these to a prescribed template and standard
- Under the tutelage of your mentor, carefully complete the tasks assigned you in the time allocated
- Support your project team with Document Control activities in line with AHR Protocols
- Participate in delivering the BIM in line with ISO 19650-2
- Contribute to the development of the native 3D model
- Create and issue 2D drawings and schedules directly from the native 3D model
- Basic BIM content creation, in line with AHR BIM Standards and guidelines
- Apply AHR library Revit content on a project basis, in line with AHR BIM Standards and good working practice
- Awareness of AHR's goals and values and know how your own goals and values align with AHR's
- Be an effective team member. Understand where your skillset fits within the team and collaborate with your colleagues to achieve best outcomes for the project
About You
We welcome applicants from a range of educational and professional backgrounds. While some familiarity with Revit or other design software would be beneficial, full training will be provided. You may be at the beginning of your professional journey and looking for an opportunity to gain structured mentoring and practical project experience. This role could be ideal for:
