Due to our continued growth and expanding portfolio, we have an exciting opportunity for an Architect to join our creative and friendly team in Bristol and or London. We are looking for someone who is already based in the UK and close enough to commute to our offices in either Bristol or London. We currently cannot provide sponsorship; therefore, candidates should provide full right to work in the UK, now and in the future.

Qualifications:

  • ARB registered Architect with a minimum of 5-7 years UK experience (Senior Architect) or ARB registered Architect with a minimum of 2 years UK experience (Architect)

Experience:

  • Proven commercial and contractual awareness
  • Your experience should be – designing and/or delivering one of the following:
    • DfE Schools
    • High and medium rise residential with potential HRB experience
    • Offices
    • Healthcare

Skills:

  • Designing and delivering buildings
  • Strictly two years minimum experience using Revit as primary software
  • Advanced knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign and other digital imaging tools

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead large projects with only limited intervention
  • Provide technical expertise in the delivery of our designs
  • Achieve efficient and effective designs using robust and sustainable design solutions
  • Prepare compliant designs by following Building Act, UK Construction Law, British Standards and relevant CoPs
  • Author specifications using AHR's NBS Masters
  • Participate in Project Reviews and coordination workshops
  • Assist in gathering and preparing information required to support statutory submissions, such as Planning, Building Regulations and Building Safety Gateways
  • Negotiate with statutory bodies, write reports and complete statutory submissions (Planning Applications / Gateway submissions / Building Regulations etc)
  • Attend and potentially lead meetings and workshops with Clients, Designers, Contractors, and other Specialists
  • Use Document Control on your project(s) in line with AHR Protocols
