Due to our continued growth and expanding portfolio, we have an exciting opportunity for a Landscape Architect to join our creative and friendly team. Our strong preference is for the role to be based in our Bristol office, though we will consider strong applicants to be based in our London office.
This role is ideal for a full-time qualified Landscape Architect (minimum of 2 years UK professional experience). The Landscape Architect will be responsible for design through all RIBA Stages and potentially project management duties. The role involves working on a variety of projects across a wide range of sectors to create healthier, safer, and smarter environments.
Your Skills And Experience
- Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Landscape Architecture preferably from a school accredited by the Landscape Institute or working towards this Chartered status CMLI having successfully completed the LI Pathway to Chartership (P2C)
- A minimum of two years' professional experience in a UK-based role following completion of university studies
- Proven skills of managing and delivering projects from inception to completion
- Good knowledge of plants and planting design
- Good to excellent Revit software skills
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in landscape design projects at various stages, providing technical support to colleagues in the delivery of small to large scale projects of varying complexity
- Assist in the preparation of Landscape & Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA) and Appraisals to support Planning Applications and Environmental Statements
- Prepare drawings and documents using a variety of software packages in Revit. You need to be experienced and utilise Revit as your software of choice
- Appraise sites in terms of their opportunities, restrictions and risk
- Liaise, engage and present to project stakeholders including clients, contractors, planning departments and members of the public
- Assist with business development, bids and marketing
- Some financial management of projects
- Attend regular meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists
- Attend site regularly to monitor progress
- Co-ordinate with other consultants/specialists
- Troubleshoot any and all problems associated with the project to QA procedures
- Able to work with minimum supervision
- Able to communicate effectively in verbal, written and drawn formats using appropriate media for different audiences both internally and externally
