Position Summary

Lead the planning, establishment and adoption of a new internal creative studio – establishing SOPs, buildout plan, production scheduling and more. This role is also responsible for the newly created Food Lion creative studio, leading the creation and production of all brand imagery assets including food, packaging and table-top; along with select video deliverables including social-first, paid and more. The new studio and associated role creates net-new value by expanding photography and videography capability which is currently outsourced to external vendors – unlocking cost savings, time efficiency and content governance.

Principal duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, establishment and adoption of a new internal creative studio – establishing SOPs, buildout plan, production scheduling and more.
  • Plan, produce and fulfill in-house content deliverables in service of omni-channel plans – with a pointed focus on original photography and video – ranging from stylized food photography to select social-first video and more.
  • Work collaboratively with key marketing and cross-functional stakeholder groups to effectively deliver best-in-class outcomes for the business.
  • Manage and execute production schedules and full lifecycle of deliverables associated with the studio.
  • Oversee the studio’s creative process and ensure the work is on brief and on brand.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the team's workflow keeping teams and dependencies informed and up to date (deadlines are met, issues escalated, driving efficiency and more).
  • Act as a primary client liaison for scheduling, process updates, and status communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for two (2) direct associates and vendor support – inclusive of job shaping, recruitment, coaching and more.
  • Review final designs, contribute to design quality control, and ensure adherence to design intent and schedule commitments.

Basic Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in management in studio operations (in-house, agency, brand, etc).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project timelines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualification

  • Graphic arts or Desktop Publishing experience.
  • Background in Macintosh computers.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in management in studio operations (in-house, agency, brand, etc).

  • Able to work in a deadline driven environment, while not compromising quality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven competency at cross-functional collaboration at all levels of the organization.
