Position Summary
This role is responsible for the Food Lion ecommerce shopping experience on all platforms (web and app). Key focus areas include identifying future site and app optimization opportunities to improve the customer shopping experience from first click through last mile; analyzing performance across platforms and campaigns; and optimizing how Food Lion shows up on the marketplace to drive sales growth with 3P partners. All the above require close coordination with FL marketing, FL and ADUSA merchants, ADUSA Product, and ADUSA partnerships/strategy teams.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Day to day:
- Track and report overall business performance vs. KPIs (sales, penetration, uniques, MAUs, transaction size, etc,), monitor site and program mechanical performance (open rate, CTR, online coupon usage, etc.), and customer feedback from multiple sources (operations, customer relations, social media, dOSAT, NPS, 3p reviews etc.).
- Supports implementation of site updates scheduling, bugs/fixes, new features and benefits.
- Leads the monitoring and mining of customer feedback channels, site analytics, and market research to identify problems and opportunities, frame potential solutions, and build a compelling case for change to various ecommerce customer experiences.
- Understands the needs of Food Lion’s eCommerce shoppers and identify opportunities to enhance the experience including product assortment (hot bar, floral, catering, local/organic, healthy).
- Identifies and supports team initiatives to enable sales of unique/new items in eCommerce.
eCommerce experience Evolution:
- Identify opportunities, provide input and influence direction of mobile and online functionality to address site performance opportunities and to support long-term e-commerce and digital growth strategy.
Marketplace
- Serves as the day-to-day business lead with marketplace partners, including promotions, funded opportunities and platform enhancements.
- Lead, recommend and direct internal functional updates from 3rd parties. This includes, but not limited to, ratings and reviews.
Basic Qualification
- Minimum of three to four years of e-commerce experience.
- Project management and/or experience in managing 3rd party agencies and partners.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of Sitecore is a strong plus.
- Experience working with offline retailers, in an e-commerce environment.
Preferred Qualification
- At least 7+ years’ retail, merchandising or marketing experience.
- Experience with Google Analytics, UX or Adobe – or other related software experience. Adobe Photoshop, IDesign, Dreamweaver etc.
- Experience with building and enhancing online user experiences.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience
- 5-7 years retail, merchandising or marketing experience.
- Data analytics experience related to retail, digital marketing or eCommerce.
Skills and Abilities
- Familiarity with web-based content management system and web analytics.
- Knowledge and proven successful experience with digital marketing and online merchandising best practices including experience with mobile analytics and reporting.
- Proficient in optimizing web and app platforms to improve site experience, driving customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Strong project management, organization, and attention to details, with the ability to work well with corporate and cross functional teams as well as outside agency partners.
- Strong analytical skills and ROI driven; including experience reviewing campaign performance results and making recommendations for future action.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in parallel while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven success in bringing a strategic vision to life.
- Excellent communication and diplomatic management skills.
- 5+ years of experience with a broad range of digital marketing channels for retail business or large brands.
- Strong relationship-building skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of web analytics, consumer behavior and enhancing user experiences.
- Experience in managing a promotion from the ideation.
- 10% travel needed
