What are we looking for?

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years in WordPress design, management, and digital marketing
  • Proficiency in WordPress Multisite management and web hosting
  • Strong knowledge of donation platforms such as Stripe
  • Skills in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, and database optimisation
  • Experience in front-end and back-end development
  • Expertise in UX/UI design, conversion rate optimisation, and web performance

Digital Marketing

  • Proven ability in SEO, paid advertising, and Google Marketing Platform

Security & Analytics

  • Knowledge of website security best practices and data privacy
  • Ability to interpret KPIs and marketing data to improve performance

Project Management & Regulations

  • Experience managing digital campaigns and working with agencies
  • Knowledge of digital charity fundraising regulations in the UK, EU, and US
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and third-party integrations

Qualifications

What will you be doing?

Africa Health Organisation (AHO) is seeking a Web Manager Volunteer to support our digital and fundraising strategy, manage WordPress sites, optimise user experience, and improve web performance. You will identify new projects, develop innovative revenue-generating products, and lead web-based marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise WordPress sites, ensure brand consistency, enhance UX, and maximise conversions
  • Revamp donation systems, develop new fundraising systems using Stripe, and ensure compliance to prevent scams and money laundering
  • Regularly update and improve web presence, review emerging trends, and adopt best practices
  • Track and analyse web traffic, sales, and marketing data to measure success and provide insights
  • Lead web-based marketing projects, collaborate with teams and agencies, and ensure timely delivery
  • Improve search engine rankings and website performance through SEO strategies
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and drive results
