Could you help an international health organisation by participating in shaping the health we want to see by 2050? The Strategic Plan sets out the health impact and outcome to collectively achieve by 2050.
What difference will you make?
The main impact is that the organisation is able to meet its objectives and has a strategic direction to deliver health and social care in Africa and the Diaspora. The strategic plan will inspire the trustees, staff, volunteers, and service users to support our work, improve staff morale, and increase productivity.
What are we looking for?
Education and Qualifications: Bachelor\’s or a master\’s, preferably a doctorate, in fields such as business administration, public health, medicine, sociology, psychology, anthropology, environmental science, engineering, biological sciences, marketing, climate change, social care, dentistry, pharmacy, social media, journalism, criminology, geography, informatics, law, nursing, education, paramedic, IT, management, accountancy, social work, sports sciences, genetics, plant sciences, zoology, veterinary sciences, research, data sciences, food sciences, archaeology, architecture, STEM, epidemiology, philosophy, economics, or related fields.
At least 3 years of proven experience in strategic planning, market analysis, or related roles, preferably in health, voluntary, or global health sectors.
Strong understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and successful strategic plan development.
Familiarity with medical industry trends, PESTEL and SWOT analysis, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Excellent communication skills. Language skills in one of Africa\’s widely spoken languages are an advantage.
What will you be doing?
Participate in the development and implementation of the Africa 2050 Vision, conduct research, analyze health and socioeconomic data, monitor trends, and develop strategic partnerships. Lead planning processes, prepare reports, and contribute to securing funding.
Funding and Finance: Seek and secure funding aligned with your goals. Successful volunteers may be offered paid positions to lead their projects.
