Commercial Analyst in Liverpool

Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join our team at the global Head Office in Prescot. As a Commercial Analyst within Alfred H Knight’s Agriculture division, you will play a key role in improving commercial visibility, supporting strategic decision‑making, and strengthening execution across the commercial lifecycle. This is an opportunity to join a growing global business line where you will engage in commercial, operational, and financial activities to help drive structured growth and improve performance. Required Knowledge and Work Experience

• Commercial awareness: strong commercial mindset with the ability to improve sales performance through structured analysis, pipeline visibility, and disciplined execution.
• Analytical capability: strong ability to analyse trends, risks, and opportunities, translating data and research into actionable commercial insight.
• Commercial reporting & modelling: experience producing and maintaining sales, pipeline, including basic financial modelling such as pricing, margin analysis, and business case support.
• Commercial coordination: comfortable working across sales, finance, and operational teams to coordinate bids, proposals, and commercial initiatives.
• Technical proficiency: advanced capability in Microsoft Excel is essential.

Required Competencies

• Proactive Approach: a self‑starter with a willingness to take ownership and move initiatives forward.
• Detail‑oriented: a focus on accuracy, clarity, and delivering logical, decision‑useful outputs.
• Communication & stakeholder management: confident communicator, able to engage and coordinate effectively across multiple stakeholders and regions.

Required Work Experience

• Demonstrable experience in a commercial, analytical, or finance‑related role.
• Experience in data analysis and translating research into market intelligence is essential.
• Exposure to sales environments or commercial pipeline management is preferred.

Required Qualifications

• A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Economics, Business, or a similar field would be advantageous but not essential.
