Key Responsibilities
The volunteer will support Action for Health, Education and Disability (AHEAD) International community disability programme for disabled and disadvantaged young people by assisting staff during planned outreach visits, helping young people take part in group activities and basic learning/inclusion sessions, encouraging safe participation, and providing routine practical support under direct staff supervision in community settings. The volunteer will be undertaking community disability fieldwork which contributes directly to the achievement or advancement of AHEAD’s charitable purpose.
Person Specification – Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of secondary education or equivalent.
- Interest or experience (paid or voluntary) in disability support, youth work, or community services.
- Willingness to undertake safeguarding, inclusion, and disability-awareness training.
