Agriculture Insights Manager - Red Meat in Coventry

Join us as an Agriculture Insights Manager (Senior Analyst - Red Meat) and help deliver trusted market intelligence and analytical insight to support the UK red meat industry. This role works on a hybrid basis, two/three days from our HQ in Coventry and the remainder working remotely from home.

Reporting to the Lead Analyst, you will lead the delivery of analytical insight and market intelligence for the livestock sector, ensuring AHDB provides timely, evidence-based information that supports levy payer decision-making. Working closely with colleagues, industry stakeholders and external partners, you will identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities, translating complex data into clear and practical insights for the industry.

You will be an experienced analyst with strong economic, market or sector analysis expertise, who can combine technical knowledge with excellent communication skills while comfortably managing projects, engaging stakeholders and supporting the development of analytical excellence across the team.

Responsibilities

• Produce trusted market intelligence and analytical insight for the UK red meat sector
• Analyse agricultural, economic, consumer and trade data to identify trends, risks and opportunities
• Lead analytical projects from design through to publication, ensuring outputs are accurate and relevant
• Translate complex information into clear reports, presentations, market commentary and industry updates
• Act as a recognised source of expertise on red meat markets and supply chains
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with industry stakeholders, government and academia
• Support and develop analytical excellence across the team, providing guidance and coaching where appropriate
• Represent AHDB at industry events, stakeholder meetings and media engagements as required

Essential Criteria

• Degree-level qualification in economics, agriculture or another numerate discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
• Significant experience of producing and communicating economic, market or industry analysis
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear, actionable insights
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
• Strong planning, organisational and project management skills
• Experience building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
