Our Company: A.H. Worth is a family-owned business spanning four generations, dedicated to delivering top quality and value in fresh produce. Operating from Fosdyke, Lincolnshire, we manage a vast farming operation and maintain joint ventures in fresh produce. We grow and package fresh, wholehead vegetables for wholesale and high-street retailers. Aligning with our farming operations, we are all about growing and nurturing our own People. A progressive company, we invest heavily in sustainable projects from using anaerobic digestion and solar energy to power our premises, to ensuring regenerative farming methods are used out in our fields.

With passionate support service teams in our offices, in-house training coordinators and a robust staff engagement programme, we endeavour to make sure everyone enjoys a healthy work/life balance and is supported to reach their potential.

The Role: We are looking for a People Advisor to join our team on a part time basis (16 hours per week) for an initial 6 months to job share with our existing People Advisor. The role is site based and is required to work Thursdays and Fridays each week. We could consider more hours for an exceptional candidate but this would need to be either a full or half day on a Wednesday each week. This role could also go permanent for the right candidate. Reporting to our amazing People Partner, the role will be to ensure an outstanding service is provided across the organisation by delivering credible HR advice and guidance in a timely and effective manner, whilst maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and integrity.

The post holder will act as a trusted adviser to the business, providing proactive and solution-focused advice on complex employee relations matters, workforce planning, performance management, and organisational change. By building strong professional relationships, the People Adviser will contribute to creating positive working environments that support staff wellbeing and effective leadership.

What you’ll do:

  • Act as the first point of contact to provide advice and solutions to managers on employee relations matters, including working arrangements, contractual matters, sickness/absence management, employee communication and consultation, in line with current legislation.
  • Respond to a wide range of enquiries relating to People issues/administration in a professional manner, to ensure that internal stakeholders receive timely, accurate and valuable advice.
  • Draft template letters in relation to any informal/formal meetings relating to ER cases, attending meetings/hearings as deemed necessary.
  • Work in conjunction with colleagues in the People Team to ensure a smooth and consistent service is provided.
  • Deliver a range of HR activities within identified areas of work and support the work of other members of the People Team.
  • Actively contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the People Team, undertaking specific projects to embed consistency and best practice.
  • Keep professionally up to date with people management trends and initiatives locally and nationally, identifying how they may impact on local service requirements and delivery or be utilised to improve efficiency.
  • Help maintain our HR information management system (PeopleHR) and confidently analyse reports, identifying key points.
  • Offer accurate interpretation, advice, application and representation to clients on employment legislation, best practice and policies and procedures in relation to and in the context of clients’ policies and procedures on a range of People matters.

You’ll thrive here if:

  • You’ve got at least CIPD Level 3 and solid generalist HR experience - ideally in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment, preferably in food or fresh produce but not essential.
  • You know your stuff when it comes to UK employment law and ER - but you don’t use it to scare people.
  • You’re confident, credible and comfortable working with everyone from MDs to our wonderful operational colleagues.
  • You’re ridiculously organised and self-motivated.
  • You’re not afraid to challenge, experiment, and try new ways of doing things.
  • You genuinely care about people - your clients, your colleagues, and the culture we’re building.

You can:

  • Be Disruptive – We don’t follow the herd. We question everything, challenge the status quo, and carve out new ways forward.
  • Be Brilliant – We believe in progress over perfection and learning through action. Iteration is our superpower.
  • Be Bold – We say what needs to be said, with empathy and honesty. No politics, no fluff.
  • Get Sh*t Done – We focus on what matters, move fast, and make it happen.
  • Have Fun – We laugh. A lot. We show up fully and support each other fiercely. Because work should feel good.

Be on a development journey and learn from some great colleagues who make work fun and just love getting sh*t done.

What we can offer you:

  • Competitive Salary
  • Annual leave which increases with service
  • A range of flexible benefits
  • Free confidential staff helpline
  • Company sick pay
  • Training and development tailored to support you
  • Free parking, tea and coffee
  • On site EV Charging

Please note: We are not on a public transport route.
