Self Employed Van Delivery Driver/Courier

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and efficient self employed Van Delivery Driver/ Courier to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents, ensuring that all items are handled with care and delivered to the correct locations. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate various routes effectively. The Courier will also assist with warehouse duties as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Duties

• Safely operate a van or other delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload packages, ensuring proper handling and care during transit.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Perform basic warehouse tasks, including sorting and organising packages for delivery.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring that all items are moved safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including any issues encountered during the process.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Van Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Valid driver\’s licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is advantageous.
• Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members effectively.
• Familiarity with local routes and traffic regulations is beneficial.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and time management skills are essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance, Zero hours contract

Pay: £40.00-£150.00 per day
