We are seeking a reliable and efficient self-employed Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely delivery of packages and documents while ensuring the highest level of customer service. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, navigate various routes, and manage time efficiently. The Courier will be expected to handle heavy lifting and operate delivery vehicles safely.
General Info:
- Standard round size is between 40 and 180 parcels (can choose the round size)
- Monthly invoicing
- Average distance of a round is between 2 and 5 miles
- Average parcel deliveries are 20 to 30 parcels an hour
- Full training provided
- Couriers willing to travel to different depots outside of Hull will be substituted for fuel
- Choose your own hours
- Valid driving license
- Use your own vehicle
- 60p+ per parcel
Duties:
- Deliver packages and documents to designated locations within specified timeframes
- Compliance with all traffic regulations
- Load and unload items
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status and any potential issues
- Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
Experience:
- Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is desirable
- Proven ability to drive safely and efficiently in various traffic conditions
