About the Role:
Due to on-going growth, Zeus Engineering (Part of AGZ Group) are currently looking to recruit CNC Millers to work within our subcontract engineering organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful applicants to join our well-established engineering company.
Key Responsibilities:
- CNC Milling Operations: Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances.
- Programming & Editing: Read and interpret engineering drawings and use CNC programming (e.g., Fanuc, Mazatrol, Siemens) to create or modify machine programs as needed.
- Machine Setup: Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials; perform machine setup and calibration.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished components using measuring tools such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges to ensure they meet specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machining issues, tool wear, or programming errors to maintain production efficiency.
- Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform routine maintenance on machines and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Documentation: Complete job sheets, inspection reports, and production records accurately and on time.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE while operating machinery.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with production supervisors, engineers, and quality control to meet deadlines and maintain high standards.
What Weβre Looking For:
- Have experience of working within the Sub-Contract industry manufacturing components for various industries.
- Excellent communication/organisational skills, problem solving, flexible & ability to work well within a team.
- Knowledge of Mazatrol/Fanuc/Siemens control would be beneficial but not essential.
- Possessing a full UK driving licence would be beneficial, but not essential.
- Operate at all times within current Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality regulations. (ISO 45001/14001/9001).
