Our client is a market leader in UK & EU gateway logistics solutions, located in Feltham. They have a rich history, trading since 1999. They offer specialist bespoke solutions for the international freight forwarding industry, e-commerce business, global courier & postal systems. This role sits within an Operational department working as part of a varied and diverse operation logistics team.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Client Account Management
- Act as the main contact for assigned accounts, building strong, long-term relationships.
- Ensure timely delivery of solutions and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Drive growth within existing accounts and resolve escalations to prevent issues.
- Prepare accurate invoices, maintain billing records, and support month-end reporting.
- Work with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and customer inquiries.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and third parties for quotes and timely shipments.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with import/export regulations.
- Partner with marketing to maintain brand visibility and monitor market trends.
- Represent CCL at global conferences and exhibitions.
- Provide cover for colleagues during busy periods.
Qualifications and Skills
- Essential
- A highly motivated professional with a passion for delivering results.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in freight forwarding or international logistics.
- Proven track record in account management or a similar client-facing role.
- Solid understanding of international trade regulations and customs clearance processes (UK and global).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver client-focused solutions and anticipate customer needs.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to travel to designated markets as required.
- Previous involvement in export projects and familiarity with export operations.
- Leadership experience managing projects or small teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software tools.
- Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Additional language skills (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin) are a plus for supporting Asia and Latin American markets.
