CLEANING ACCOUNT MANAGER | CARDIFF | 35K-40K | FULL-TIME
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cleaning Manager to join our team and manage cleaning operations for one of our major clients in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with strong leadership skills and experience managing cleaning teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service delivery, supporting operational teams and maintaining strong relationships with the client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support cleaning teams to ensure high standards of service are consistently delivered.
- Monitor cleaning standards and ensure work is completed in line with client expectations and service specifications.
- Carry out regular site visits, inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Act as a key point of contact for client representatives, responding to queries and resolving issues effectively.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, supervisors, cleaning operatives and other stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, guidance and support to supervisors and cleaning teams.
- Ensure company policies, procedures, health & safety requirements and industry standards are followed.
- Monitor performance and ensure contractual targets and KPIs are achieved.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and development of cleaning staff.
- Identify training needs and provide guidance to ensure teams are fully equipped to carry out their roles.
- Manage cleaning materials, consumables, equipment and stock levels effectively.
- Respond to operational issues and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
- Prepare reports and provide updates to senior management.
- Promote a positive team culture and ensure all employees maintain a professional image and approach.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience managing cleaning operations within a commercial environment.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a cleaning management or similar operational management role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- A proactive, flexible and solution-focused approach.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience carrying out cleaning audits, managing performance and driving improvements.
- A good understanding of health & safety requirements within a cleaning environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a practical approach.
- Ability to confidently delegate tasks and manage performance.
- Professional, approachable and customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team while taking ownership of responsibilities.
