TRAIN CLEANER | DERBY | MONDAY - FRIDAY | 7:00AM - 3:00PM | £13.45 P/H | EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
We are currently recruiting for experienced Train Cleaners to support one of our client sites in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking individuals with previous deep cleaning experience who take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the rail industry.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for carrying out deep cleaning duties on trains, ensuring all carriages are cleaned, sanitised, and presented to the highest standard. This is a physically demanding role requiring excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Duties
- Deep cleaning train interiors, including passenger seating areas, vestibules, toilets, and driver cabs
- Operating carpet extraction machines to deep clean carpets and upholstery
- Using jet washing equipment to clean train exteriors and designated areas where required
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets, tables, handrails, windows, doors, and other high-touch surfaces
- Removing graffiti, stains, and spillages where appropriate
- Vacuuming, mopping, and maintaining all floor surfaces
- Emptying waste bins and disposing of rubbish correctly
- Restocking consumables where required
- Following all health & safety procedures and site-specific cleaning standards
- Working efficiently to ensure trains are ready for service within strict deadlines

- Monday to Friday
- 7:00am - 3:00pm
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in train cleaning, transport cleaning, or industrial deep cleaning is essential
- Experience operating carpet extraction machines is essential
- Experience using jet washing equipment is essential
- Experience carrying out deep cleaning in commercial or industrial environments
- Knowledge of COSHH and the safe use of cleaning chemicals
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain excellent cleaning standards
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual cleaning duties
Pay Rate
- £13.45 per hour
