Eastleigh (2 days remote per week) £40,000 - £45,000 Base + Benefits

For over sixty years, the business has been a driving force in maintaining high standards in therapy education and practice in the UK. As a not-for-profit organisation run by therapists, for therapists, they’re dedicated to advancing and protecting their members' interests and career progression.

We have a fantastic opportunity and seek a Marketing, Communications & Membership Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a new role in a growing team and provides a fantastic opportunity to apply your expertise and creativity in communications and marketing to help the organisation to increase membership, reach and engage new and existing audiences to shape and deliver a multi-channel marketing and communications strategy for a leading membership body.

The main responsibilities will include creating and overseeing the activation of the marketing strategy and using data insights and analytics to grow Membership and develop reach and support. The role will also oversee the website as the main resource and marketing hub.

To be successful in this role you will need to be collaborative and organised, as well as have experience and skills in a communications and marketing role.

The role of the Marketing Communications Manager is to be accountable for all marketing and communication activities, its brand and image to achieve the following objectives:

  • To increase membership by attracting new members, retaining existing members and winning back lapsed members.
  • To generate additional revenue that widens our offering and complements our membership.
  • To communicate our successes externally for increased awareness of the organisation and the Accredited Register.
  • Overseeing a small team including a Marketing Executive, Membership Manager, Editor and Communications Executive.
  • To develop, implement and maintain a strategic marketing and communications strategy, annual marketing and communications plan and monitor and report on outcomes to meet the above aim and objectives, including regular review of risks, trends and forecasts.
  • To proactively identify growth and revenue opportunities to support organisational aims and objectives.
  • To oversee strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure press coverage and increase therapists/public awareness.
  • To ensure the appropriate and most effective marketing channels and tactics are used to support membership drives/campaigns etc.
  • To be responsible for the brand and image and its consistent usage across all platforms.
  • To develop and improve our member and supporter journeys.
  • To manage the shop facility and its budget, including new product and branding development.
  • To initiate marketing projects and ensure effective management.
  • To oversee the marketing budget.
  • To work with the Membership and Insurance Teams to develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, and engage members.
  • To regularly communicate with members through various channels to foster positive relationships and solicit feedback to improve the member experience.
  • To identify opportunities for expanding the membership base and develop targeted outreach strategies to grow all categories of membership.
  • To develop and implement retention strategies to minimize churn and increase member satisfaction.
  • To provide informative and accurate reports on membership statistics, working with the membership, insurance and finance teams to provide precise, reliable financial data.
