Project Co-Ordinator

£38,000 – £42,000 Base + Benefits & Progression

Due to on-going growth, our client requires a passionate Project Co-ordinator to join the team. You will require experience within construction, architecture or surveying. You could be a Quantity Surveyor, Architectural Technician, Project Coordinator/Junior Project Manager, or an ex-site manager.

The successful candidate will ideally be someone who’s been involved in the running of live construction projects and knows how things work on the ground. You’ll also need to have solid communication and skills in Microsoft projects and be open to using technology and AI where required. Our client builds high end residential, and smaller commercial and property developments so experience in this area is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be involved in supporting cost planning, project coordination, and contract administration across a range of residential and small commercial schemes, mostly in the Southeast. The team are growing and as a result, they require someone with solid construction experience who can help push projects forward day-to-day, handling site issues, dealing with builders, building control, clients, keeping on top of contract admin, etc.

Key Skills / Qualifications

  • Background in construction, architecture or surveying (e.g. ex-site manager, architectural technologist, assistant PM/QS etc.)
  • Confident communicator who’s happy dealing with clients and site teams
  • Good working knowledge of how residential projects are built and run
  • Familiarity with JCT contracts, Building Regs and general project documentation
  • Organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple small projects at once
  • One approach that might work well is headhunting someone from a local builder, developer, architect\’s practice, or design & build firm, someone who\\\’s got experience running projects.
  • Technically capable on excel and experience is articulate and personable.
