We have an exciting opportunity at Aberdeen Airport Limited for an Airside Compliance Manager to join our Airside Operations team. This is a permanent, full time role and will be based at Aberdeen Airport.

Job Description:
Responsibility for Airside Operations compliance, project development & implementation, and training. Deputises for Airside Operations Manager in their absence. Accountability for ensuring regulatory approval of all airfield developments and that delivery of the Operations product is aligned to AIA and regulatory standards.
Principle accountabilities:
- Accountability for planning Airport response to airside incidents through the Emergency Planning Committee and producing six monthly updates of the Emergency Orders.
- Responsible for the recording and investigation of all Airside Incidents and evaluating areas of improvement with stakeholders through regular data trend analysis.
- Responsible for the implementation and delivery of the Airport Infringement process.
- Responsible for the delivery of driver training standards across the airport campus and maintaining an up-to-date database of airfield drivers.
- Accountability for the compliance of the Airside Operations product against AIA / regulatory standards.
- Responsible for maintaining and reviewing at regular intervals CAA regulatory documents.
- Responsible for the delivery and oversight of the airports safeguarding processes.
- Responsibility of the maintenance and creation of all ODN/ODDs, Local Operating Procedures, the Aerodrome Manual, providing quarterly updates to key stakeholders, ensuring information contained is accurate and compliant.
- Responsible for departmental training to meet the requirements of Airfield Ops Development Programme, Health and Safety any business-driven training activities.
- Responsible for planning airside construction and project activities ensuring runway capacity and a high level of customer service to our airlines is not compromised.
- Responsible for delivery of Asset Stewardship for all aerodrome assets (Airside Operations) to AIA standards, revisions to, or implementing new working practices where applicable, to ensure asset integrity, performance and condition are met and exceeded.
- Accountable for the development of business continuity plans aligned to the Operations risk register and areas of operational criticality.
- Have the ability to hold the role of Snow Co-ordinator during winter operations, which is managed on an on-call basis.
- Responsible for auditing of third parties who operate on the airfield, along with monthly meetings with members of the Handling Community.
- Provide managing responsibly system audit support at AGS Airports annually.
- Ability to chair relevant safety forums.
- Responsible for the creation, monitoring and reporting of departmental KPIs against group standards.
- Review and approve all planned and corrective works to be undertaken on the airfield and support the Health and Safety Manager in the administration of the Permit to work system.
- Maintain and review Risk Assessments for the Airside Operations department and change departmental documentation as required.
- To manage the effective implementation of the strategy for wildlife hazard management and operations, ensuring training, resource, and equipment is sufficient to meet the task.
- Review wildlife data regularly to identify trends and implement action plans to improve wildlife operations.
Compliance:
- Responsible for personal and, if applicable, team compliance with Health and Safety, Security and Environment/Sustainable Development Policies, ensuring working practices minimise risk to self, work colleagues, customers, staff and the environment.
- To comply with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to this role.
- To ensure that all activities required by the safety, security and environmental / sustainable development management systems are delivered throughout the areas of responsibility of this role.
- To ensure that any systems and procedures introduced by the company are effectively implemented and adhered to.
Any other duties:
To participate in projects, working parties and continuous improvement and to carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit for the purpose of personal development, or as may be reasonably required by the Company.
Qualifications and experience:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience in a similar management role.
- Ability to meet medical and legal requirements to hold and maintain an Airside Driving Permit.
- A Health and Safety qualification would be desirable.
Specific Experience:
- To have leadership and people management skills ideally gained in a variety of management roles. Change management and motivational competencies are particularly relevant in the department.
- To demonstrate detailed knowledge and understanding of operational practices, procedures and the statutory documents which govern the operation and airfield; plus, an understanding of Safety Management Systems.
- Preferably at least 3 years' experience within an operational environment.
Special Requirements:
- User knowledge of computer systems, communication networks and equipment employed in the aviation industry.
- Ability to make instant problem-solving decisions based upon operational knowledge to the satisfaction of customers without undermining the Airport operational and safety function.
- To have the ability to communicate clearly at all levels of the organisation and with external organisations both orally, in writing and through presentations.
