Job Description

The IT Operations & Cyber Analyst supports the Cyber & Compliance Manager in the operation and continuous improvement of AGS Airports' security controls and assurance activities. This is a hands-on, coordination-focused role spanning cyber security operations, vulnerability management, and supplier-delivered services. You will play a key role in ensuring security risks are identified, assessed, tracked, and progressed effectively. Alongside cyber responsibilities, you will also support broader IT operational activities, including service coordination, administrative processes, and engagement with internal teams—providing flexible support across both cyber and IT functions.

Principle accountabilities

  • Security Operations & Incident Management
    • Coordinate SOC-raised alerts, incidents, and security notifications, ensuring appropriate review and tracking.
    • Review SOC triage outputs, identifying priorities, risks, and inconsistencies.
    • Work with IT teams and suppliers to ensure incident actions are understood, assigned, and progressed.
    • Maintain accurate records of incidents, decisions, and actions to support audit and assurance activities.
    • Track incident-related actions through to completion, escalating where required.
    • Support post-incident reviews, including timelines, documentation, and follow-up tracking.
  • Vulnerability & Threat Management
    • Support review of vulnerability management outputs, threat intelligence, and security tooling insights.
    • Help identify remediation priorities and areas for further investigation.
    • Coordinate with IT teams and suppliers to track vulnerability remediation actions.
    • Maintain visibility of progress and highlight risks or delays.
    • Support vulnerability scanning activity (coverage, scheduling, outputs).
    • Review threat intelligence and highlight emerging risks relevant to AGS.
  • Security Tooling & Monitoring
    • Assist in tracking outputs from key security tools (endpoint protection, exposure monitoring, third-party risk tools).
    • Ensure findings are logged, tracked, and followed up appropriately.
  • IT & Cyber Coordination
    • Provide administrative and coordination support across cyber and IT activities.
    • Maintain trackers for actions, risks, supplier engagements, and operational tasks.
    • Support supplier coordination and ensure follow-through on agreed actions.
    • Assist with requisitions, purchase requests, and related administrative processes.
    • Help produce reports, dashboards, and governance materials.
    • Provide flexible support across IT and cyber functions as required.

Qualifications and experience

  • Understanding of core cyber security principles, threats, and mitigation approaches.
  • Aware of cyber operations delivery models (SOC, MSPs, third-party providers).
  • Knowledge of vulnerability management, patching, and endpoint security concepts.
  • Experience in an IT environment (service desk, infrastructure, operations, service delivery).
  • Experience working with third-party suppliers or service providers.
  • Experience coordinating tasks, incidents, or service requests in a structured way.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and track multiple activities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and tooling outputs.
  • Ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
