Glasgow Airport Fire and Rescue Service is seeking dedicated, motivated, and safety driven individuals to join our team as Aviation Firefighters. Principle accountabilities:
- Respond to emergency situations in line with established regulations and procedures to protect life and property.
- Mobilise resources effectively when attending emergency incidents.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support a coordinated and professional emergency response, representing Glasgow Airport Fire Service positively.
- Maintain all competencies required by both the regulator and the company to support airport certification standards.
- Ensure all operational equipment is maintained to the required standard and is fully compliant with internal and external audit requirements.
- Promote and uphold safe working practices, prioritising the safety of colleagues, customers, and the public, and placing health, safety, and environmental responsibility at the core of all activities.
- Ensure personal and team compliance with company Health & Safety policies to minimise risks.

Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to meet and maintain UK Regulation (EU) 139/2014 and Company medical and physical fitness standards.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across the organisation and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure.
Desirable:
- Certified First Aider / FPOS qualification.
- LGV driving licence.
- Experience in airport operations or similar high risk environments.
