We are seeking an experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our growing international group. The successful candidate will have solid UK accounting experience within a manufacturing or production environment and be confident managing the full accounting cycle. This is a remote-based role with travel required to our production and operational sites.
AGROVA International is a fast-growing European agri-food group operating across egg production, agriculture, and functional nutrition products. Our production facilities are located in both the UK and Latvia, supplying retailers, food service businesses, and food manufacturers across Europe and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full accounting cycle in accordance with UK accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Preparing month-end accounts, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
- Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Preparing VAT returns and supporting payroll accounting processes.
- Producing management accounts and financial reports.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Monitoring production costs, stock movements, and cost allocation processes.
- Working closely with operational and production teams.
- Assisting with audits, compliance, and financial controls.
- Maintaining and improving accounting procedures and internal processes.
- Managing accounting operations within SAGE Intacct.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience within a manufacturing or production business.
- Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and UK accounting requirements.
- Previous experience within food production, FMCG, agriculture, or manufacturing sectors would be advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of SAGE Intacct is essential.
- Understanding of stock accounting, production costing, and operational finance processes.
- Good knowledge of VAT, payroll, and financial reporting requirements in the UK.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel regularly to production sites.
