We're looking for an exceptional sales professional to join our growing team at Gem House, Riverside Enterprise Park, Saxilby, Lincoln, LN1 2FU. The role involves managing a telephone sales ledger and developing relationships with new and existing customers in the agro‑chemicals industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the base of telephone customers.
- Lead generation and appointments – pitch to potential clients by cold calling.
- Prospect new leads and add value to existing customers.
- Respond to calls, emails and customer queries, providing accurate advice.
- Participate in sales‑driven marketing campaigns.
- Work against a tailored margin sales budget.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record in telephone sales, ideally with relevant industry experience.
- Commercially savvy and familiar with our customer base and products.
- Highly organised with the ability to stay cool under pressure.
- Excellent IT skills – Outlook, CRM systems, customer databases, Office and web‑based programmes.
- Technical or relevant industry qualifications (e.g., BASIS, FACTS) an advantage; continuous training offered.
- Strong communication skills (face‑to‑face, phone, email) and a passion for accuracy.
- Team‑working ability, driving own workload forward.
Personal Specification
- Excellent PC skills: Microsoft Office and a CRM system.
- Initiative and ability to drive own workload forward.
- Professional and friendly communication skills with customers, colleagues, hauliers, and suppliers.
- Team‑work critical during busy periods.
Working Hours and Location
- Full‑time: 8.30 am – 5.00 pm Monday–Friday. Hours may increase during the busy spring season.
- Working from Gem House; road visits may be required.

- Highly attractive salary plus generous OTE bonus scheme and a 23‑day holiday entitlement per year (plus public holidays).
