Technical Manager – Warwickshire or London (UB area) – Up to £55,000 + Car + Bonus

Our client, a leading supplier of fresh produce to the UK retail, food service, and wholesale sectors, is seeking a Technical Manager to join their team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic and globally connected supply chain. Based in Warwickshire or London (UB) , this position requires a proactive professional to exceed customer expectations and ensure seamless operations within the fresh produce industry.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional technical knowledge, insights, and collaboration to exceed customer expectations.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with UK and EU food sector regulations for safety and legality.
  • Support the execution of trade plans with a focus on commercial objectives and timelines.
  • Build strong relationships with head office retail customers through regular engagement.
  • Monitor and oversee complex global supply chains from production to delivery.
  • Manage projects efficiently, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
  • Travel to UK sites and occasionally to international farming operations as needed.

Salary / Benefits:

Skills / Experience Required:

  • Degree (QCF level 5–6) in a relevant academic discipline.
  • 3–5 years’ experience within a technical, commercial, or procurement role in a short-shelf-life food supply business, ideally fresh produce.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex supply chains with a commercial focus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic data management systems.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas.
  • Full UK driving licence (clean).
  • Additional languages (advantageous but not essential).
