Process Operator - Portbury - £38,000 + Benefits

A leading manufacturing company in Portbury is looking for a Process Operator to join their mill production team. You’ll work across different areas of the mill to help run a safe, efficient, and high quality manufacturing process. Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating the blending and pressing equipment
  • Completing routine production duties
  • carrying out basic fault finding on machinery
  • Help maintain quality standards, follow safety procedures and keep the mill clean and organised
  • Support with simple maintenance tasks and update production records

Hours & Shift Pattern

This role follows a fixed 12 hour rotating shift pattern (6am-6pm / 6pm-6am) with a repeating mix of day and night shifts. The pattern includes set working days and regular built in rest days, giving you predictable time off throughout the year.

  • Experience in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Works well in a team and has a positive, proactive attitude
  • Communicates clearly at all levels
  • Has some understanding of plant processes
  • Can solve problems and think on their feet
