An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Relief Farm Manager to join a well-established agricultural business operating across multiple sites. This role will provide operational support and holiday/sickness cover across a number of poultry farms, ensuring sites continue to operate efficiently and in line with high welfare and production standards. The successful individual will play a key role in maintaining the day-to-day performance of farms, supporting site teams and ensuring bird welfare, health & safety and environmental controls are consistently managed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide management support and operational cover across multiple poultry farm sites
  • Monitor and manage environmental systems including ventilation, feed, water, and lighting
  • Maintain high animal welfare, hygiene, and biosecurity standards
  • Ensure accurate record keeping relating to livestock, feed, and farm operations
  • Support and coordinate farm staff to ensure daily duties are completed effectively
  • Respond to alarm systems and site issues when required
  • Assist in maintaining stock control and operational efficiency across sites

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience within poultry or livestock farming, ideally broiler production
  • Strong ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions
  • Supervisory or people management experience would be advantageous
  • Good organisational and IT skills
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Willingness to undertake further industry qualifications and training
