The Role: We are seeking an experienced Spray Painter & Refinisher to join a busy workshop team. You will be responsible for the complete refinishing process of plant machinery, agricultural and forestry equipment, and commercial vehicles β from surface preparation and masking to applying durable, high-quality finishes that meet both customer and in-house standards.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all preparation work including sanding, masking, priming, and filling.
- Apply professional paint finishes using spray equipment on machinery, vehicles, and bespoke fabrications.
- Maintain equipment to ensure consistent and safe operation.
- Work closely with fabrication and engineering teams to meet deadlines and specifications.
- Complete documentation for all work, ensuring quality control at every stage.
- Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards in the workshop.
The Candidate
- Proven experience in spray painting and refinishing (plant machinery, commercial vehicles, or heavy equipment preferred).
- Skilled in preparation, priming, and finishing techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and consistent delivery of high-quality finishes.
- Able to follow technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Flexible approach, willing to assist with wider workshop tasks as required.
Desirable
- Vocational qualification in paint refinishing or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of two-pack paints, coatings, and colour matching.
- Experience across a range of finishes and refinishing methods.
