A progressive and forward thinking farming business is seeking an experienced Arable Farm Manager to take responsibility for a large scale arable operation in Oxfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern, well invested farming enterprise with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and high performance crop production. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day to day operations while driving efficiency and continuous improvement across the farm.

Responsibilities

  • Full management of arable operations across a large scale farm
  • Planning and delivering cropping programmes to maximise yield and quality
  • Managing cultivations, drilling, spraying and harvesting operations
  • Overseeing machinery use, maintenance and investment planning
  • Leading and supporting farm staff and contractors
  • Managing crop inputs including fertiliser, sprays and seed
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental, health & safety and assurance standards
  • Working closely with agronomists and senior management
  • Driving innovation, sustainability and best practice across the business

Candidate

  • Proven experience in arable farm management
  • Strong technical knowledge of crop production and agronomy
  • Experience operating and managing modern farm machinery
  • Previous team management or supervisory experience
  • Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and inputs
  • Forward-thinking with an interest in sustainable practices
  • PA1/PA2 (essential), BASIS (desirable)
  • Full UK driving licence
