We are seeking a skilled and motivated Orchard Operative (Tractor Driver) to join the stone fruit orchard team, which is in planning to be planted. This is a hands-on role involving machinery operation, crop management and seasonal team support. The successful candidate will have experience working within an orchard environment, including tractor operations and be confident working with modern growing systems that include polytunnels and/or rain covers.
We offer a supportive working environment within a modern stone fruit production system and the opportunity to develop skills across all aspects of orchard operations.
The Candidate:
- Experience operating tractors within an orchard or horticultural setting
- Knowledge of polytunnel systems and flat-top crop covers
- Understanding of spraying programmes and machinery maintenance
- Familiarity with irrigation and fertigation systems
- Experience with pruning, thinning, and fruit production
- Previous involvement in supervising seasonal agricultural labour
- Practical, fit & healthy, hands-on and reliable
- Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- Strong attention to detail and crop quality
- Team player with a proactive attitude
The Package:

- Company will support with accommodation if required, not available on site
