An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Skilled Arable Operator to join a progressive and well-established 1-hectare arable enterprise in Norfolk. This is a role for someone who takes pride in their work, understands modern arable systems, and wants to be part of a forward-thinking farming business investing in both its land and its people.

You will be involved in all aspects of crop production across a large-scale combinable cropping operation. Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will operate and maintain modern machinery to a high standard while contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the farm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cultivations, drilling, spraying and fertiliser applications
  • Combining and harvest operations
  • Grain handling and storage management
  • Machinery maintenance and workshop duties
  • Record keeping and compliance support
  • Assisting with environmental stewardship work where required

The Candidate:

  • Has proven experience in arable farming
  • Is confident operating modern GPS-equipped machinery
  • Holds PA1/PA2 (PA4 desirable)
  • Has strong mechanical skills and attention to detail
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Takes a proactive, positive approach with a strong work ethic
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
  • Telehandler and forklift certificates would be advantageous but are not essential
