We are seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join a team in Newmarket, responsible for servicing and repairing ground care machinery. As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a range of equipment used in grounds maintenance, such as ride-on mowers, chainsaws, strimmers, and blowers.
The Candidate:
- Carrying out routine servicing and repairs of grounds maintenance equipment to a high standard, in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Conducting thorough diagnostics on machinery, identifying faults and carrying out effective repairs.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance on equipment, identifying and replacing worn or damaged parts before they cause problems.
- Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of grounds maintenance machinery.
- Good mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and repair faults effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A full driving license is essential, as occasional site visits may be required.
- A relevant qualification in mechanics or engineering would be an advantage, although training will be provided.
