The Job:

Our client is looking for an experienced Rural Surveyor to join their established rural property team. This is a varied role working with farmers, landowners and rural businesses, providing professional advice across a broad range of rural property and land matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing professional rural surveying advice to farmers, landowners and rural businesses
  • Undertaking rural property and land valuations for a range of purposes
  • Advising on landlord and tenant matters, estate management and rural property matters
  • Supporting clients with compulsory purchase and compensation work
  • Assisting with rural property transactions, agency and development opportunities
  • Developing and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider rural and property teams

The Candidate

  • Previous experience within rural surveying, rural property or a closely related professional role
  • Ideally RICS qualified or working towards chartership, with a relevant surveying or rural property qualification
  • Strong knowledge of rural property, land and agricultural matters, with experience across areas such as valuations, landlord & tenant, estate management or compulsory purchase
  • Confident dealing directly with farmers, landowners and professional clients, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially aware, well organised and able to manage a varied workload while working to deadlines
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required

  • Salary £50,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience and qualifications

Candidate Requirements

All applicants must hold a minimum of an NVQ Level 2, Scottish NVQ Level 2, or an equivalent qualification relevant to the role applied for. Candidates must also have the legal right to work in the UK or hold a valid visa permitting employment.
