An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Area Demonstration / Salesperson to cover the southern region of the UK. This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone with a practical background, essential experience with agricultural machinery and the confidence to build strong relationships with dealers and customers. This is not a “suit and tie” position — the role involves demonstrations, installations, deliveries and full involvement with the equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities across the region
- Build, maintain and grow relationships with existing and new dealers
- Develop in-depth product knowledge and stay informed on industry trends
- Carry out hands-on machinery demonstrations and customer presentations
- Manage the full sales process from initial enquiry through to demonstration, delivery and installation
- Travel regularly for customer visits, dealer support and trade shows
The Candidate
- Hands-on experience with agricultural machinery (essential)
- Sales experience preferred, ideally within agricultural, forestry or machinery sectors
- Strong technical understanding of machinery and equipment
- Practical ability to operate, load, demonstrate and install machinery
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, results driven and comfortable working independently
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Experience working with contractors, farmers, forestry professionals or machinery dealers
- HGV licence or willingness to obtain one
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales reporting tools
