As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the upkeep and repair of machinery, vehicles, buildings, and site infrastructure across a busy operational site. Reporting to the Repairs and Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring minimal downtime and keeping operations running efficiently. This is a varied, hands-on role involving both planned and reactive maintenance, as well as supporting wider site operations when required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned servicing, inspections, and reactive repairs on machinery and equipment
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
- Maintaining and repairing vehicles, plant, and site machinery
- Supporting building and structural maintenance across the site
- Assisting with the upkeep of site systems, including heating and infrastructure
- Helping to plan and deliver preventative maintenance schedules
- Sourcing parts and assisting with stock control of maintenance supplies
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing timesheets
- Working closely with other departments to support operational needs
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with company policies and legislation
- Using PPE correctly and maintaining a safe working environment
